關(guān)系代詞作定語(yǔ)的定語(yǔ)從句

一、whose

關(guān)系代詞在從句中作定語(yǔ)表示所屬關(guān)系，先行詞是人，表示“先行詞這個(gè)人的…”，用whose；先行詞是事物，表示“先行詞這個(gè)事物的…”，用whose…或the…of which或of which…都可以。如：

In 1980 he caught a serious illness from whose effects he still suffers. 1980年他患了到現(xiàn)在對(duì)他仍有影響的重病。

The treasure some of which has been recovered, has been sent to the British Museum. 這些寶藏已送往大英博物館，其中有一些是失而復(fù)得的。

二、which

關(guān)系代詞 which 用作定語(yǔ)時(shí)，含有類(lèi)似 this 或 that 的含義。如：

She may be late, in which case we ought to wait for her. 她可能遲到，因此我們應(yīng)該等她。

He lost his temper, at which point I decided to go home. 他發(fā)脾氣了，這時(shí)我就決定回家了。

The speaker paused to examine his notes, at which point a loud crash was heard. 講演者停下來(lái)查閱他的筆記，就在這時(shí)，聽(tīng)到了砰的一聲巨響。
