permit后接動詞的用法規律

■若其后直接跟動詞要用動名詞

Time doesn’t permit my waiting longer. 時間不允許我等得太久。

■若其后先接賓語再跟動詞則要用不定式

His health does not permit him to come. 他的健康(狀況)不允許他來。
