have no intention 之后不可以接to do sth.嗎？

【問】[468]在《成人學(xué)士學(xué)位英語考試綱要》(修訂本，江蘇省學(xué)位委員會(huì)編著，南京大學(xué)出版社, 2005年2月）p.331上，有以下一選擇題：Though he claimed time and again that he had no intention to harm the girl, it does not alter the fact that he was the man ________ for the death of her.

A. accounting  B. guilty  C. responsible   D. obliged  答案：C

另外，在《英語慣用法大詞典》(王福禎等主編)p.328上，也有一例：I have no intention to force anyone to do anything. 請(qǐng)問have no intention 后可以跟to do sth.嗎？

【答】按照英語的表達(dá)習(xí)慣，have no intention 后不可跟to do sth.，而要用of doing sth.。

■筆者認(rèn)為以上說法偏頗，是不符合英語實(shí)際的。盡管中外很多有影響的工具書，如《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》(第四版)(商務(wù)印書館1997年9月第1版) p778；《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》(第六版)(商務(wù)印書館 2004年 8月第2版)p920;《朗文當(dāng)代英漢雙解詞典》(First published 1988)p745；《朗文當(dāng)代高級(jí)英語辭典》(英英•英漢雙解)(外語教學(xué)與研究出版社2004年7月第1版) p1022；John Sinclair主編《柯林斯COBUILD英語詞典》(上海外語教育出版社 2000年10月第1版) p879；簡(jiǎn)清國主編《建宏外研社英漢多功能詞典》(外語與教學(xué)研究出版社1997年1月第1版)p786；葛傳槼主編的《新英漢詞典》(上海譯文出版社2000年12月第1版)p672；張道真編著的《現(xiàn)代英語用法詞典》(外語教學(xué)與研究出版社1994年10月第1版)p722；陸谷孫主編《英漢大詞典》(第2版) (上海譯文出版社2007年3月第1版)p987均未有have no intention 后跟to do sth.的說法和例證，然而事實(shí)勝于雄辯。

實(shí)際上，美國人早在1925年就已經(jīng)使用have no intention 后跟to do sth.，并且一直在使用。請(qǐng)看真實(shí)的例證：

1. 在TIME CORPUS OF AMERICAN ENGLISH (1923-2006) (Mark Davies, Brigham Young University ) (http://corpus.byu.edu/time)至少有8例“have no intention to do sth.”：

1925/01/05 The Government has no intention to seek outside foreign sources for a loan. 政府不愿向國外貸款。

1999/02/22 We have no intention to try and re-create the divine miracle that happened to Jesus, ... 我們不打算試圖重新創(chuàng)造發(fā)生在耶穌身上的神圣奇跡, ...

2. 在BUY CORPUS OF AMERICAN ENGLISH (1990-2008) (Mark Davies, Brigham Young University) http://www.americancorpus.org/至少有42例“have no intention to do sth.”：

1990 …, so this is the proof that we have no intention to develop any nuclear bomb. ……，因此這就是我們不打算發(fā)展原子彈的證據(jù)。

2006 I think this clearly shows that Iran has no intention to stop its nuclear weapons program.我認(rèn)為這清楚地表明伊朗無意停止其核武器計(jì)劃。

2007 I have no intention to do that.我無意這樣做。

2008 Well, what I was saying before the invasion of Iraq and other people like General Zinni was that the people who were bringing us into Iraq had no intention to leave. 

而英國人至少在1757年開始使用have no intention 后接to do sth.，他們?cè)?/FONT>1980-1993期間仍然使用。請(qǐng)看例證：
