關于“動詞+賓語+不定式”結構　　

可用這類結構的常用動詞有 advise, allow, ask, bear, beg, bother, cause, command, determine, encourage, expect, forbid, force, get, hate, help, intend, invite, leave, like, mean, need, order, permit, persuade, prefer, request, remind, request, teach, tell, trouble, want, warn, wish等。如：　　

The doctor advised me to take a complete rest. 醫生建議我完全休息。　　

Her boss doesn’t allow her to use the telephone. 她的老板不允許她使用電話。　　

He’s always bothering me to lend him money. 他老是鬧著要我借錢給他。　　

His encouragement determined me to carry on with the work. 他的鼓勵使我下定決心要把工作繼續干下去。　　

My wife encouraged me to apply for the job. 我妻子鼓勵我申請這項工作。　　

The teacher forbids the students to read such books. 老師不準學生看那樣的書。　　

How can we persuade him into joining us? 我們怎樣才能說服他參加我們的活動呢? 　　

The sight of the clock reminded me to leave at once. 一看鐘使我想起我得馬上走了。　　

注意：不要受漢語意思的影響誤用這類句型，如漢語可說“希望某人做某事”，但英語習慣上不說 hope sb to do sth。類似地，以下動詞習慣上也不用于這類結構：fear, excuse, forgive, suggest, insist, refuse, inform, arrange, demand, thank, prevent 等。如：　　

他妻子建議他戒煙。　　

誤：His wife suggested him to give up smoking.　　

正：His wife suggested that he (should) give up smoking.
