means, method, way的區別

區別一：三者均可表示“方式”“方法”，其中以way 最普通，也最不正式，若僅從意義上說，它常可用來代替另外兩個詞。在許多口語表達中，從理論上看使用means或method可能表意更準確些，但是那樣可能會損害表達的生動性。如：

Only in this way can we learn English. 只有這樣才能學會英語。(此句中的in this way就相當于by this method)

區別二：在名詞前很少使用way of，而通常代之以means of或method of。如：

We tried all possible means of communication, but we couldn’t get in touch with him. 我們已經用了一切能用的聯系辦法，但是都沒能跟他取得聯系。

The 19th century saw a revolution in methods of transport. 19世紀發生了一次運輸手段的革命。
