Internet用法說明

1. 總是大寫第一個字母，通常與定冠詞連用，在非正式場合也可寫成the Net。表示“在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上”，其前通常用介詞on。如：

My free time is spent surfing the net. 我的空余時間都花在上網(wǎng)瀏覽網(wǎng)頁。

You should check out this music website on the Internet. 你應(yīng)當(dāng)在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上查看一下這個音樂網(wǎng)站。

2. 注意以下表示類似“上網(wǎng)”意義的不同表達(dá)：

Do you have access to the Internet? 你能上因特網(wǎng)嗎?

He is browsing the Internet. 他在上網(wǎng)瀏覽信息。

She likes to go on the Internet in the evenings. 她喜歡在晚上上網(wǎng)。

We often search the Internet for information. 我們經(jīng)常上互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上搜索信息。

另外，與動詞use連用也是一種很常用的搭配。如：

It is becoming increasingly commonplace for people to use the Internet at home. 在家里使用因特網(wǎng)已變成越來越平常的事了。

3. 漢語說的“網(wǎng)吧”，說成英語可以是the Internet café。如：

Travellers can check their email at the Internet cafe in the square. 旅行者可以在廣場上的網(wǎng)吧里查看自己的電子郵件。

另外，“網(wǎng)吧”還可用cybercafe表示。如：

Many towns and cities have cybercafes where you can surf the Internet. 許多城鎮(zhèn)都有網(wǎng)吧，在那兒人們可以在網(wǎng)上沖浪。
