▲be related to 與……有關(guān)(相關(guān));與……有親戚關(guān)系 Physics is closely related to maths. 物理與數(shù)學(xué)有密切聯(lián)系。 Income tax rates are related to one’s annual income. 所得稅稅率與個(gè)人的年收入的數(shù)額相關(guān)。 He is related to the prime minister. 他和內(nèi)閣總理是親戚。 How are you related to her? 你和他是什么親戚關(guān)系? ▲be respectful to 對(duì)……尊敬的(有禮貌的) Be more respectful to your seniors. 對(duì)長(zhǎng)輩應(yīng)更加有禮貌。 The teacher is respectable, so we are all respectful to him. 這位老師值得尊敬,所以我們都很尊敬他。 ▲be responsible for 為……負(fù)責(zé)的 We are responsible for our own actions. 我們應(yīng)對(duì)自己的行為負(fù)責(zé)。 I am partly responsible for the confusion. 我對(duì)此混亂情況負(fù)有部分責(zé)任。 ▲be rude to 對(duì)……無(wú)禮的(粗魯?shù)模?/SPAN> Don’t be rude to the taxi driver. 不要對(duì)那個(gè)出租車(chē)司機(jī)粗聲粗氣的。 He is often rude to his mother. 他常常粗魯對(duì)待他媽媽。 ▲be similar to 與……相似(類(lèi)似) Your views on education are similar to mine. 你的教育觀點(diǎn)和我的類(lèi)似。 Gold is similar in colour to brass. 金和黃銅的顏色相似。 ▲be subject to 常遭,受……的控制,易受……的 I used to be subject to very severe colds. 我過(guò)去常患重感冒。 The tomato is subject to a number of plant diseases. 蕃茄易受好些植物病害的侵襲。 ▲be used to 習(xí)慣于(www.hz123456.com) He is used to this kind of job. 他習(xí)慣于這種工作。 I’m not used to getting up early. 我不習(xí)慣于早起。 【注】注意它與used to(過(guò)去常常)意思不同,且用法也不同——be used to后接動(dòng)詞時(shí)要用動(dòng)名詞,而 used to 后接動(dòng)詞時(shí)要用動(dòng)詞原形。如: I used to go skiing every winter. 我有一度每到冬季就去滑雪。 I used to share a room with my sister. 我過(guò)去和我妹妹合住一間房。 另外,有時(shí)be used to是動(dòng)詞use的被動(dòng)式,其意為“被用于”,此時(shí)的to為不定式符號(hào)。如: Scales are used to measure how heavy things are. 秤用來(lái)衡量東西有多重。 ▲be useful to 對(duì)……有用(有益) This book is useful to young students. 這本書(shū)對(duì)年輕學(xué)生有益。 Don’t throw away these books. They might be useful to you in the future. 別把這些書(shū)扔掉,它們也許將來(lái)會(huì)對(duì)你有用。 【注】表示對(duì)某人有用,useful 后可用介詞 to,也可接 for。如: The dictionary is useful for [to] beginners. 這本詞典對(duì)初學(xué)者有用。 What he said is useful to [for] us. 他說(shuō)的話對(duì)我們很有用。 若表示對(duì)某一目的有用,通常要用介詞for。如: That implement is useful for many purposes in the kitchen. 那種設(shè)備在廚房里可用于多種目的。 若后接動(dòng)名詞表示在某一方面有用,其后通常接介詞in或for。如: Computers are useful in compiling statistics. 計(jì)算機(jī)在統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)方面很有用。 She was very useful in dealing with foreign visitors. 她很擅長(zhǎng)與外賓打交道。 It’s a skill that is useful for doing your job. 那是一種對(duì)做好你的工作很有用的技巧。 ▲be vital to 對(duì)……極其重要(www.hz123456.com) Consideration for other people is vital to all of us. 對(duì)我們所有人而言能體諒別人是極其重要的。 Your support is vital to the success of our plan. 你們的支持對(duì)我們計(jì)劃的成功至關(guān)重要。 引用地址: |
