beyond compare 無與倫比，舉世無雙　　

Her beauty is beyond compare. 她的美麗無與倫比。　　

The height of this building is without compare. 這座大廈的高度是舉世無雙的。　　

【注】有時(shí)也說beyond comparison。如：　　

Our quality is far beyond comparison. 我們的質(zhì)量是無與倫比的。　　

beyond control 無法控制，失去控制　　

The children were beyond control. 這些孩子不聽管教。　　

【注】在實(shí)際使用時(shí)，該短語通常說成beyond one’s control。如：　　

The situation was beyond our control. 這局勢(shì)我們控制不了。　　

What happened to him was beyond his control. 他所遇到的事是他無法控制的。　　

She was really touched beyond words. 她確實(shí)感動(dòng)得無法形容。　　

beyond doubt 無疑的，毫無疑問的　　

The truth of the story is beyond doubt. 這個(gè)故事的真實(shí)性是毫無疑問的。　　

The evidence proves beyond doubt that he is innocent. 證據(jù)無疑表明，他是無辜的。　　

【注】有時(shí)可在doubt前加上all來加強(qiáng)語氣。如：　　

I believe beyond all doubt that he will achieve success. 我對(duì)他會(huì)獲得成功深信不疑。　　

beyond expression 無法形容，難以表達(dá)　　

The scenery was beautiful beyond expression. 景色美不可言。　　

I feel a sense of satisfaction and gratitude beyond expression. 我感到說不出的滿足和感激。　　

beyond hope 沒有希望　　

Well, it’s beyond hope now. 唉，現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)沒有希望了。　　

【注】若表示“沒有……的希望”，則用beyond hope of。如：　　

She is blind beyond hope of cure. 她瞎到?jīng)]有希望治好的地步。　　

Some of the houses were beyond hope of repair. 有些房子沒有辦法修繕了。　　

beyond measure 無法估量地，極其，非常　　

Her joy was beyond measure. 她無比喜悅。　　

He is angry beyond measure. 他極為憤怒。　　

He loves his work beyond measure. 他極其熱愛自己的工作。　　

【注】有時(shí)也說above measure。如：　　

His joy was above measure. 他極為快樂。　　

beyond price 無價(jià)的，極貴重的　　

Virtue is beyond price. 美德乃無價(jià)之寶。　　

Their friendship is beyond price. 他們的友誼是極其珍貴的。　　

【注】有時(shí)也說without price或above price。如：　　

Love is above price. 愛情無價(jià)。　　

Sincerity is without price. 真誠是無價(jià)的。　　

beyond question 毫無疑問的（地），確實(shí)的（地）　　

Her good intentions were beyond question. 她的好意是毫無疑問的。　　

The wisdom of his decision is beyond question. 他的決定是明智而無庸置疑的。　　

【注】question前有時(shí)可用all加強(qiáng)語氣。如：　　

Beyond all question you are right. 毫無疑問，你是對(duì)的。　　

beyond recognition 認(rèn)不出來，無法辨認(rèn)　　

The city centre has altered beyond recognition. 市中心變得都認(rèn)為出來了。　　

Her body had been mutilated beyond recognition. 她的尸體被毀得無法辨認(rèn)。

The bicycle is beyond repair. 這輛自行車已不能修理了。
