method的用法與搭配

1. 表示方式或方法，通常是可數名詞；表示條理或秩序，通常是不可數名詞。如：

These methods apply to learning English. 這些方法適用于英語學習。

His idea is all right, but he lacks method. 他的思想不錯，但缺乏條理。

2. 表示做某事的方法，其后通常接 of doing sth。如：

What’s the best method of cooking beef? 烤牛肉的最好方法是什么?

What’s the best method of cooking beef? 烤牛肉的最好方法是什么?

He tried to change the normal methods of work. 他設法要改變通常的工作方法。

有時接 for doing sth，但不如接of doing sth 常見。如：

It is another method for resolving disputes. 那是解決爭端的另一個辦法。

偶爾也后接不定式，但遠不如上面兩種用法普通。

3. 表示用某種方法，通常用介詞 by。如：

The examination is conducted by the oral method. 考試以口試方式進行。

This is a reliable method of detecting cancer. 這是檢測癌癥的一種可靠方法。
