中學英語語法復習——介詞學習要點

一、定義與分類

介詞是一種虛詞，不能單獨用作句子成分，通常用于名詞或代詞(以及相當于名詞的其他詞語)之前，表示其后詞語與句中其他詞語之間的關系。英語介詞從結構上可分為簡單介詞(如about)、合成介詞(如inside)、分詞介詞(如including)和成語介詞(如instead of)等。

二、介詞的賓語

介詞的賓語通常是名詞或代詞，若需動詞作賓語，則通常用動名詞形式。但是以下幾種情況比較特殊，考生需注意：

1. 表示“除了”的介詞 but, except 后接動詞作賓語，通常用不定式；若其前有do，則不定式不帶to，若其前沒有do，則不定式通常帶to。如：

He wanted nothing but to stay there. 他只是想留在那里。

I’ve done everything you wanted except cook the meals. 你要我干的事我全干了，只是還沒做飯。

2. 介詞可接what從句作賓語，但通常不接that從句作賓語，遇此情況，應先在介詞后加上 the fact。如：

No one paid attention to what he said. 沒人注意他說的話。

No one paid attention to the fact that he was poor. 沒人注意他很窮。

注：表示“除了”的except 后可接that從句。如：

He has no special fault except that he smokes too much. 他除了抽煙太多之外，沒有什么特別的毛病。

3. 在某些特殊結構中，形容詞、副詞、分詞、介詞短語等可用作介詞賓語。如：

It’s too hot in here. 這里面太熱了。

The cat jumped out from under the bed. 貓從床下跳出來。

Her pronunciation is far from perfect. 她的語音遠不是完美的。

I can’t regard the matter as settled. 我不能認為這事已經解決。

三、常見成語介詞搭配

1. 其他詞+of

ahead of 在…之前，比…強            cause of 因為

inside of 在…以內，少于                 instead of 代替，而不

outside of 在…外面，除…外          regardless of 不顧，不管

2. 其他詞+to

according to 根據                              as to 至于，關于

contrary to 違反  due to 由于，由于…的原因

near to 在…的附近                            next to 緊挨著，緊次于

owing to 因為，由于                         thanks to 多虧，由于

3. in+其他詞+of

in advance of 在…前面                    in aid of 幫助

4. in+其他詞+for

in exchange for 作為對…的交換    in preparation for 為…作準備

in return for 作為…的報答               in reward for 作為…的報酬

5. in+其他詞+to

in addition to 加之，除…之外         in answer to 回答，響應

in reply to 對…的回答(答復)            in response to 回答，響應

in [with] reference to 關于                in [with] regard to 關于
