修飾the way的定語(yǔ)從句

the way 后面的定語(yǔ)從句，關(guān)系詞若在從句中作狀語(yǔ)，相當(dāng)于“用這種方式 / 方法(=in this way) ”時(shí)，通常不用關(guān)系詞，偶爾用 that，在較正式的文體里才用 in which 來(lái)引導(dǎo)。如：

Do it the way you were taught. 要照教你的那樣做。

I was impressed by the way in which she did it. 她干成這件事的方式給我留下了深刻的印象。

注意：way 后不能用 how 引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句，但也可以不用 way，而直接用 how 引導(dǎo)的名詞性從句來(lái)表達(dá)這類(lèi)意思。如：

That’s the way he did it.= That’s how he did it. 他就是這樣做的。

另外，當(dāng)先行詞way表示方向時(shí)，不用任何關(guān)系詞。如：

Was that the way she went? 她是往那個(gè)方向走的嗎？
