forget與forget about的區(qū)別

1. forget通常指忘記具體的東西（如名字、號(hào)碼、地址等），forget about后者通常指忘記一件事情（如開(kāi)會(huì)、學(xué)習(xí)、吃飯、鎖門等）。比較：

I forget her name. 我把她的名字給忘了。

Don’t forget about your study. 別忘了學(xué)習(xí)。

They were so busy that they even forgot about their own meals. 他們忙得連飯都忘記吃。

2. 有時(shí)兩者可換用，尤其是表示“不要把…放在心上”時(shí)。如：

He forgot (about) her birthday. 他把她的生日忘了。

Let’s forget (about) our differences. 咱們不要把彼此的分歧放在心上。

3. 表示“忘記做某事”，除可用forget to do sth外，有時(shí)也可用forget about doing sth。如：

She had forgotten all about posting the letter. 她把寄信的事忘得一干二凈。

4. 一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)的forget后可直接跟動(dòng)名詞表示忘記做過(guò)某事，但一般過(guò)去時(shí)的forgot后接動(dòng)名詞時(shí)，則通常會(huì)先接介詞about（有時(shí)也有不用about的）。如：

I forgot about doing it. 我忘記已做此事了。

5. 口語(yǔ)中說(shuō) forget (about) it 有以下用法：

① 用于回答感謝，意為“不客氣”。如：

A：Thank you very much for your help. 多謝你的幫助。

B：Forget about it. 不用謝。

② 用于回答道歉，意為“沒(méi)關(guān)系”。如：

A：I’m sorry for what I said. 我為我所說(shuō)的話道歉。

B：Forget it! I don’t remember anyway. 沒(méi)關(guān)系，反正我也沒(méi)有記住。

③ 用于表示否定或拒絕，意為“不行”。如：

A：I’ll take the small truck. 我要開(kāi)那輛小卡車。

B：And leave me to drive the other one? Forget it. 啊，讓我開(kāi)另外那輛? 不行不行。

④ 用于表示不想提及某情況或指某情況無(wú)關(guān)緊要等。如：

A：How much do I owe you? 我欠你多少錢?

B：Forget it! 算了吧!
