anyone, anybody, anything 等的用法

1. 由any-加上 -body, -one, -thing構(gòu)成的不定代詞叫復(fù)合不定代詞。這些詞在句中可用作主語、賓語或表語，但不能用作定語。它們在用法上與any的用法有些相似，一般用于否定句、疑問句或條件句。

2. 當(dāng)它們受定語修飾時，定語應(yīng)放在它們后面。如：

Is there anything good on TV tonight? 今晚電視有好節(jié)目嗎？

I’ve never heard anyone so inept at making speeches. 我從未聽說過有這樣不會講話的人。

Did you meet anybody exciting on your travels? 在你旅行中，遇到過什么人，使你感到激動嗎？

3. 指人的anyone和anybody若用作主語，其謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)，相應(yīng)的人稱代詞和物主代詞也用單數(shù)he, him, his（不一定指男性），但在非正式文體中常用復(fù)數(shù)代詞 they, them, their。如：

If anybody [anyone] comes, ask him [them] to wait. 要是有人來，讓他等著。

指事物的anything若用作主語，謂語動詞也要用單數(shù)，但相應(yīng)的人稱代詞也只能用 it, 而不用 they。如：

Everything is ready, isn’t it? 一切都準(zhǔn)備好了，是嗎?

4. 含有 any-的復(fù)合不定代詞用于否定句時，要放在否定詞之前，而不能放在否定詞之后（參見any的有關(guān)用法）。如：

正：Nobody knew the reason for the delay. 沒有人知道延誤的原因。

誤：Anybody didn’t know the reason for the delay.

正：Nothing has happened since then. 打那兒以后，就平安無事。

誤：Anything hasn’t happened since then.

5. anyone, anybody 只能指人，不能指物，且其后一般不能接of 短語。若是指物或后接 of 短語，可用 any one（分開寫）。如：

Any one of the plans will do. 這些計劃中的任何一個都行。

Any one of our employees could be the informer. 我們的任何一位雇員都有可能成為告密者。
