crew作主語時(shí)的主謂一致問題

■crew表示飛機(jī)或輪船的全體工作人員時(shí)，是集合名詞。用作主語時(shí)，若視為整體，謂語用單數(shù)；若考慮其個(gè)體，謂語用復(fù)數(shù)。如：

The crew is large. 工作人員眾多。

The crew of the plane are ten in all. 這架飛機(jī)的機(jī)組人員一共10人。

The crew are paid to do all the work on the ship. 船員被雇傭在船上工作。

■若crew受到some of, most of, many of等的修飾，謂語要用復(fù)數(shù)。如：

The ship was wrecked, and most of the crew were drowned. 那艘船意外遇難，大部分船員都淹死了。

■另外，crew本身通常不用復(fù)數(shù)，除非是表示不同船或不同飛機(jī)的全體工作人員，此時(shí)若用作主語，謂語要用復(fù)數(shù)。
