4. 補充說明

非限制性定語從句有時形式上是從句，實質上其功用相當于一個并列的分句。如：

He said he had no money, which was not true. 他說他沒有錢，這不是實話。(which相當于but it)

Then he met Mary, who invited him to a party. 后來他遇到瑪麗，瑪麗邀請他去參加晚會。(who相當于and she)

My father may have to go into hospital, in which case won’t be going on holiday. 我父親可能需要住院，如果那樣他就不去度假了。(in which case相當于and in that case)
