有關examination 的搭配習慣

1. 有的考生根據 take part in(參加某一活動)和 join(加入某一組織，并成為其中的一成員)這一區別，推出“參加考試”是用動詞 take part in。其實按照英語習慣，“參加考試”既不用join, 也不用take part in, 而是用take。如：

He was ill and didn’t take the examination. 他病了，沒有參加這次考試。

2. 表示“通過考試”或“考試及格”，英語習慣上用動詞pass, 而不用cross。如：
