一、如何用英語表示小數(shù)

“小數(shù)”由整數(shù)部分、小數(shù)點(diǎn)和小數(shù)三部分組成。小數(shù)點(diǎn)讀作point, 小數(shù)點(diǎn)前面的數(shù)詞按基數(shù)詞讀出，小數(shù)點(diǎn)的后面的數(shù)就依次按數(shù)字讀出，如12.297可表示為twelve point two nine seven。

順便說一句，若一個(gè)名詞受到大于1的小數(shù)的修飾，那么該要用復(fù)數(shù)，如“一點(diǎn)三毫米”說成英語是1.3 millimetres，不是1.3 millimetre。

二、如何用英語表示分?jǐn)?shù)

用英語表示分?jǐn)?shù)的方法是：先說分子，后說分母；分子用基數(shù)詞，分母用序數(shù)詞；當(dāng)分子超過“一”時(shí)，分母用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如“三分之二”可表示為 two thirds (可理解為“兩個(gè)三分之一”)。如：

Only about one-third of the class is going to make it next year. 班里明年會(huì)升級的人大約只有三分之一。

Two-fifths of the machines on display were new items. 展出的機(jī)器五分之二是新產(chǎn)品。

但是有些分?jǐn)?shù)的表示比較其特別，如“二分之一”通常說成a (one) half，“四分之一”通常說成 a quarter。

Three quarters of the theatre was full. 劇院的座位坐滿了四分之三。

The proportion rose from a quarter to a half. 比率從四分之一上升到了二分之一。

有時(shí)我們還可以用“分子(用基數(shù)詞)+ in / out of +分母(用基數(shù)詞)”這樣的形式，如“十分之六”可表示為 six in [out of] ten。如：

Eight out of ten of us suffer this miserable condition at some time in our lives. 在我們的生活中的某個(gè)時(shí)候，10個(gè)人有8個(gè)經(jīng)受過這種可悲的情況。

注：當(dāng)分子及分母都非常大時(shí)，可直接讀“分子(基數(shù)詞)+over +分母(基數(shù)詞)”，如“86/98”可表示為eighty-six over ninety-eight。

三、如何用英語表示百分?jǐn)?shù)

英語的百分?jǐn)?shù)通常用“基數(shù)詞 + percent”來表示，如“82%”可表示為 eighty-two percent。其中，percent也可分開寫成per cent。

percent的符號形式為%，如45 percent可寫成45%。注意英語與漢語表達(dá)詞序的不一樣，如漢語說“百分之六十”，說成英語是60 per cent，不能是per cent 60。又如：

Ten per cent of the apples are bad. 這些蘋果中有10％是壞的。

The price was reduced by 18 per cent. 價(jià)格降低了百分之十八。

Only 18 per cent thought employment would rise over the next year. 只有百分之十八的人認(rèn)為就業(yè)率明年會(huì)上升。

四、如何用英語表示時(shí)刻法

英語的時(shí)刻一般用基數(shù)詞表示，如“12點(diǎn)”可表示為 twelve (o’clock)；若表示幾點(diǎn)過幾分(不超過半小時(shí))，則一般用“分鐘數(shù) + past + 點(diǎn)鐘數(shù)”表示，如“6點(diǎn)15分”可表示為 fifteen past six；若表示幾點(diǎn)差幾分(不超過半小時(shí))，一般用“分鐘數(shù) + to + 點(diǎn)鐘數(shù)”表示，“8點(diǎn)45分”可表示為 fifteen to nine。

有時(shí)也可直接用基數(shù)詞讀點(diǎn)鐘數(shù)和分鐘數(shù)，如“9點(diǎn)20分”可表示為 nine twenty，“11點(diǎn)50分”可表示為eleven fifty。

五、如何用英語表示日期

1. 在英美國家對日期的表示稍有不同，英國通常采用“日—月—年”的方式，而美國則通常采用“月—日—年”的方法，如“10月10日”可表示為 October 15, 2008(美)或15(th) October, 2008(英)。

2. 英語中“年”的讀法：四位數(shù)以下的年份，按基數(shù)詞的讀法讀，如“(公元)432年”直接讀成 four hundred and thirty-two；滿四位數(shù)年份，一般是兩位兩位地讀，即讀作“幾十幾，幾十幾”，如“1978年”通常讀作 nineteen seventy-eight。

若是整數(shù)百的年份，通常讀作“the year+幾十幾+hundred”。如“1900年”讀作 the year nineteen hundred；若是整數(shù)千的年份，通常讀作“the year+幾千”，如“2000年”讀作 the year two thousand。類似地，“2010年”可讀作 two thousand and ten(www.hz123456.com)。
