關(guān)閉窗口 4. 在通常情況下，enough 不能用作表語(yǔ)，除非其主語(yǔ)是代詞或是那些具有(或暗示有)數(shù)量意義的名詞。如：
That’s enough. 夠了。
One such dictionary is enough. 這樣的詞典一本就夠了。
Six bottles of wine will be enough. 六瓶葡萄酒就夠了。
比較下面的正誤句子：
誤：The beer isn’t enough. 啤酒不夠。
正：There isn’t enough beer. 啤酒不夠。
誤：Was the time enough? 時(shí)間夠嗎?
正：Did you have enough time? 你們時(shí)間夠嗎?
◆enter v.
1. 在下列情況，其后通常不接介詞 into：
(1) 表示進(jìn)入某一具體的東西時(shí)：
The train entered the tunnel. 火車進(jìn)入隧道。
He entered the room quietly. 他悄悄地進(jìn)了房間。
The bullet entered his head. 子彈射入他的頭部。
偶爾可見 enter into a room 的用法，但很少見。
(2) 表示進(jìn)入某一組織或某一機(jī)構(gòu)時(shí)：
He entered the army last year. 他去年參軍了。
Then he entered a famous university. 后來(lái)他進(jìn)了一所名牌大學(xué)。
(3) 表示報(bào)名參加考試(比賽等)時(shí)：
All his friends entered the examination (race). 他所有的朋友都報(bào)名參加了考試(比賽)。
注：也可說(shuō) enter for an examination。
2. 下列情況，enter 后通常接介詞 into：
(1) 表示開始做某事時(shí)：
He entered into business (politics) at the age of 25. 他25歲時(shí)開始經(jīng)商(進(jìn)入政界)。
The two old men entered into a long conversation. 兩位老人開始長(zhǎng)談起來(lái)。
(2) 表示討論、研究或處理某問題時(shí)：
Let’s enter into the subject of taxes. 咱們來(lái)討論一下稅款問題。
We need not enter into details. 我們不必討論(研究、處理)細(xì)節(jié)。
(3) 表示領(lǐng)會(huì)或體會(huì)時(shí)：
He didn’t enter into her mood. 他不體諒她的心情。
I can enter into your feelings at the loss of your wife. 我能理解你失去妻子后的心情。
(4) 表示進(jìn)入某種狀態(tài)時(shí)：
The two countries entered into a state of war. 這兩個(gè)國(guó)家進(jìn)入戰(zhàn)備狀態(tài)。
(4) 表示進(jìn)入某具體東西且強(qiáng)調(diào)深入其內(nèi)時(shí)(若不強(qiáng)調(diào)則可不用)：
The arrow entered into his head. 箭射進(jìn)了他的頭。
We entered into a woody mountain. 我們進(jìn)入了一片山林里。
◆entirely adv.
1. 用于否定句中構(gòu)成的是部分否定。如：
His work was not entirely satisfactory. 他的工作并非完全令人滿意。
I’m not entirely happy with that idea. 我對(duì)那個(gè)主意并不十分滿意。
2. 一般不與 very 連用，但可以與 almost 連用。如：
他對(duì)自己所做的事差不多全忘了。
誤:He had very entirely forgotten what he had done.
誤:He had forgotten what he had done very entirely.
正:He had almost entirely forgotten what he had done.
