一、“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”的翻譯是American Dream / American dream

▲“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”的翻譯是American Dream / American dream，沒(méi)有 America Dream 或 America dream 這樣的翻譯，即要用形容詞 American，而不是用名詞 America。事實(shí)上，American Dream 和 American dream 已被一些英語(yǔ)詞典作為詞條收錄。如：

《麥克米倫高階美語(yǔ)詞典》（Macmillan English Dictionary for Advanced Learners）收錄有詞條American Dream，其釋義為：the idea that the U.S. is a place where anyone can become successful if they work hard enough

《美國(guó)傳統(tǒng)詞典》(American Traditional Dictionary)收錄有詞條American Dream，其釋義為：An American ideal of a happy and successful life to which all may aspire
