7. 將否定詞nowhere置于句首　　

Nowhere is drug abuse more of a problem than in the US.  沒(méi)有什么地方吸毒問(wèn)題比美國(guó)更嚴(yán)重。　　

Nowhere does the article mention the names of the people involved. 這篇文章并沒(méi)有提及相關(guān)人員的名字。　　

8. 將否定詞no sooner置于句首　　

No sooner had I got into the house than the phone rang. 我剛進(jìn)屋，電話鈴就響了。　　

No sooner had I started mowing the lawn than it started raining. 我剛開(kāi)始修剪草坪就開(kāi)始下雨了。　　

9. 將否定詞not until置于句首　　

Not until he received her letter did he fully understand the depth of her feelings. 他直到收到她的信之后才充分理解她的感情有多深。　　

Not until I left home did I begin to understand how strange my family was. 只有在我離開(kāi)家以后，我才開(kāi)始理解我的家庭有多么奇怪。　　

二、only型倒裝　　

所謂only型倒裝，指的是當(dāng)“only+狀語(yǔ)”位于句首時(shí)，其后句子要用部分倒裝。我們先看看高考是怎樣考的（答案分別為AC）：　　

1. Only after Mary read her composition the second time ______ the spelling mistake. (2012天津卷)　　

A. did she notice       B. she noticed           C. does she notice      D. she has noticed　　

2. Only with the greatest of luck ______ to escape from the rising flood waters. (2012上海卷)　　

A. managed she         B. she managed         C. did she manage     D. she did manage　　

【考點(diǎn)歸納】“only+狀語(yǔ)”位于句首時(shí)引出的倒裝主要有以下三類(lèi)：　　

1. only+副詞　　

Only later did we realize the true significance of his remark. 我們直到后來(lái)才明白他的話的真正含義。　　

The pilot reassured the passengers. Only then did I realize how dangerous the situation had been. 飛機(jī)駕駛員要乘客們放心，這時(shí)我才明白剛才的情況有多危險(xiǎn)。　　

2. only+介詞短語(yǔ)　　

Only by shouting was he able to make himself heard. 他只有叫喊才能讓別人聽(tīng)到他。　　

Only after her death was I able to appreciate her. 只有到她死后我才認(rèn)識(shí)到她的價(jià)值。　　

3. only+狀語(yǔ)從句　　

Only when we landed did we see how badly the plane had been damaged. 我們只是在著陸之后才看到飛機(jī)損壞的嚴(yán)重程度。　　

Only if these conditions are fulfilled can the application proceed to the next stage. 只有滿足這些條件，這個(gè)應(yīng)用程序才可以進(jìn)行到下一步。　　

另外補(bǔ)充一點(diǎn)，除上面提到的“only+狀語(yǔ)”外，not only…置于句首時(shí)，其后也要用倒裝句式（部分倒裝）。如：　　

Not only did he turn up late, he also forgot his books. 他不僅遲到了，而且還忘了帶書(shū)。　　

Not only did I speak to her, I even got her autograph! 我不僅同她說(shuō)了話，甚至還得到了她的簽名。
