The boss has been ill with flu this week. 老板因患流感病了一個星期。
▲be patient with 對……有耐心（容忍）
You should be more patient with others. 你應(yīng)該多容忍他人一些。
We must be patient with children. 我們對孩子必須要有耐心。
▲be pleased with 對……很滿意（高興）
I’m pleased with your work. 我對你的工作很滿意。
They were pleased with this painting. 他們對這幅畫很滿意。
▲be popular with 受……歡迎
I’m not very popular with the boss at the moment. 我現(xiàn)在不稱老板的心。
She is a lively child and popular with everyone. 她是個活潑的孩子，大家都喜歡她。
【注】若其后接的是一個復(fù)數(shù)名詞或表示復(fù)數(shù)意義的集合名詞，則可用介詞among代替with。如：
The teacher is very popular with [among] his students. 這位老師很受學(xué)生歡迎。
He is popular among men, though not, perhaps, with ladies. 他很受男士們的歡迎，雖然也許不一定討女士們的喜歡。
▲be satisfied with 對……感到滿意
I was not satisfied with the result. 我對那個結(jié)果感到不滿意。
He is quite satisfied with his lot. 他對自己的命運十分滿足。
▲be strict with 對……嚴(yán)厲的（嚴(yán)格的）
First of all, you must be strict with yourself. 首先，你必須要嚴(yán)以律已。
The teacher is strict with his students. 這老師對他的學(xué)生很嚴(yán)格。
【注】表示對某人嚴(yán)格，strict后通常接介詞with；若指對某 事嚴(yán)格，則strict后通常用介詞in，有時也用介詞on或about(www.hz123456.com)。如：
He’s strict in his work. 他對工作要求很嚴(yán)格。
This company is very strict about punctuality. 這個公司要求嚴(yán)格守時。
The government is very strict on the exporting of gold. 政府對黃金出口嚴(yán)格控制。
