【注】at a cost of sth與at the cost of sth 不同，前者多指花多少錢(qián)去做某事，后者多指以犧牲某物為代價(jià)。如：　　

He rescued four people at the cost of his own life. 他舍身救出4個(gè)人。　　

He saved his daughter from the fire, but only at the cost of his own life. 他從大火中救出他女兒，但卻犧牲了自己的生命。

【注】其中的不定冠詞有時(shí)也可換成定冠詞。如：
