1. 13.4句型4：第3類：可以不帶to或for的動詞

主語 +動詞+間接賓語+直接賓語

I’ll tell you the truth soon. 我不久就會告訴你事實真相。

主語 +動詞+只有間接賓語

I’ll tell you soon. 我不久就會告訴你。

被動式可用兩種方式構成：

You will be told the truth soon. 你不久將得知事實真相。

The truth will be told to you soon. 事實真相不久就會告訴你。

直接賓語在ask (問)，bet (打賭)，forgive (原諒)，grant (許可，姑且承認)，owe (欠)，pay (支付)，promise (許諾)，show (出示)，teach (教)，tell (告訴)，write (寫) 等動詞之后常被省略而暗含其中：I’ll write you. (我將給你寫信。) I bet you. (我跟你打賭)。I grant you. (就算你對。) I’ll promise you. (我向你保證。) 等等。

1. 14句型5：主語+動詞+賓語+補語

They +appointed +him+chairman 他們任命他為主席

此句型所用的動詞大多為被動語態。下面是一些常見的這類動詞：appoint (任命)，baptize (給…施洗禮)，call (叫)，consider (認為)，christen (命名)，crown (為…加冕)，declare (宣布)，elect (選舉)，label (把…稱為)，make (使成為)，name (取名)，proclaim (宣布)，pronounce (宣布)，vote (投票)。

They appointed him chairman. 他們任命他為主席。

He was appointed chairman. 他被任命為主席。

They made Sam redundant. 他們使薩姆成了超編人員。

Sam was made redundant. 薩姆成了超編人員。

補語通常為名詞，而在call, consider, declare, make, pronounce等動詞后的補語則可以是形容詞或名詞：

They called him foolish / a fool. 他們認為他很傻 / 把他叫做傻瓜。

下面一些動詞可與賓語+形容詞補語連用：drive (me) crazy / mad / wild (使 (我) 發瘋 / 發瘋 / 發狂) ；get (it) clean / dirty, dry / wet, open / shut (把 (它) 弄干凈 / 弄臟，弄干 / 弄濕，打開 / 關上) ；find (it) difficult / easy (發現 (它) 困難 / 容易) ；hold (it) open / still (使 (它) 打開 / 保持不動) ；keep (it) cool / fresh / shut (保持 (它) 陰涼 / 新鮮 / 緊閉) ；leave (it) clean / dirty, open / shut (使 (它) 干凈 / 臟；讓 (它) 打開 / 關上) ；like (it) hot (喜歡 (它) 熱的) ；make (it) easy / plain / ，safe (使 (其) 容易 / 明白，安全) ；open (it) wide (把 (它) 開大) ；paint (it) brown / red (把 (它) 漆成棕色 / 紅色) ；prefer (it) fried (喜歡 (它) 油煎的) ；pull (it) shut / tight (把 (它) 關上 / 拉緊) ；push (it) open (把 (它) 推開) ；want (it) raw (想要 (它) 生的) ；wipe (it) clean / dry (把 (它) 擦干凈 / 擦干)
