一、be worth后接的動名詞要用主動表被動

當be worth后接動詞時，習慣上要用動名詞（不用不定式），并且當動名詞與句子主語為被動關系時，動名詞只能用主動形式表示被動意義。如：

The book is well worth reading. 這本書很值得一讀。

The car isn’t worth repairing. 這輛汽車不值得修了。

None of it is worth keeping. 這東西一點兒也不值得保存。

二、be worthy后接的不定式要用主動表被動

與worth的用法不一樣，worthy后接動詞時不能用動名詞，而要用不定式，且該不定式的語態取決于語境的需要，即意義上為主動就用主動形式，意義上為被動就用被動形式。如：

He is worthy to receive such honour. 他應該得到這樣的榮譽。

He is worthy to fill the post. 這個職位他當之無愧。

This book is worthy to be read. 這本書值得一讀。

They are not worthy to be chosen. 他們不配當選。

The book is worthy to be studied carefully. 這本書值得仔細研究。

注：be worthy后雖然不能直接跟動名詞，但可接of doing sth，其中的動名詞也不能用主動形式表示被動意義，而是用被動式表示被動含義，如以上各句也可換成：

He is worthy of receiving such honour. 他應該得到這樣的榮譽。

He is worthy of filling the post. 這個職位他當之無愧。

This book is worthy of being read. 這本書值得一讀。

They are not worthy of being chosen. 他們不配當選。

The book is worthy of being studied carefully. 這本書值得仔細研究。
