英語替代詞的用法要點

替代詞主要用于替代前面出現(xiàn)過的名詞，以避免重復(fù)。比較常見的替代詞有one, the one, ones, the ones, that, those等。

1. one與the one的用法

one用作替代詞主要用于替代“a＋單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞”，表泛指；若需特指，則用the one。如：

If you’re buying today’s paper from the stand, could you get one for me? 如果你去報攤上買今天的報紙，給我捎回一份好嗎？(遼寧卷)

The school isn’t the one I really wanted to go to, but I suppose I’ll just have to make the best of it. 這所學(xué)校雖然不是我真正想去的，但是我想我得充分利用它。(浙江卷)

注意，the one與that均可表特指，但前者只用于替代單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，而后者則可用于替代可數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞。

2. ones與the ones的用法

ones主要用于替代復(fù)數(shù)名詞，表泛指；若需特指，則用the ones。如：

He has made a lot of films, but few good ones. 他制作了很多部電影，但很少有好的。(北京卷)

If you like cheese, go for the ones with the least fat. 要是喜歡吃奶酪，就吃脂肪含量最少的。

3. that與those的用法

that用作替代詞主要用于替代“the+單數(shù)名詞(可數(shù)或不可數(shù))”，表特指。如：

His handwriting is like that of a much younger child. 他的筆跡像是一個年紀小得多的孩子的筆跡。

those用作替代詞主要用于替代復(fù)數(shù)名詞，表特指。如：

Studying Wendy’s menu, I found that many of the items are similar to those of McDonald’s. 研究溫迪的菜單，我發(fā)現(xiàn)有許多名目類似于麥當勞的。(浙江卷)

注意，替代詞that與代詞it的用法不同，it主要指前面提到的“同一”事物，而that是指前面提到的“同類”事物。同樣地，替代詞those與代詞they用法也不同，they主要指前面提到的“同一”事物，而that是指前面提到的“同類”事物。
