否定副詞置于句首的倒裝

原則上說，當表示否定意義的副詞（如little, hardly, nowhere, scarcely, rarely, seldom, never等）置于句首時，其后的句子要用部分倒裝的形式。如：

Little does he care whether we live or die. 他才不會在乎我們的死活。

Hardly had she arrived when it began to snow. 她剛到就下起雪來了。

Never before have I met such a strange person. 以前我從未見過這樣古怪的人。

Nowhere will you find better roses than these. 哪兒你也找不到比這更好的玫瑰了。

Scarcely had they got back before the phone went. 他們一回到家，電話鈴聲就響了。

Seldom has there been such a happy meeting. 過去很少有過這樣愉快的會議。

Rarely have I seen such a beautiful sunset. 我很少見到這樣美麗的日落。
