有關(guān)first的兩個常考搭配

搭配一：表示第一個做某事的人，其后習(xí)慣上接不定式，不接動名詞。如：

You will be the first to speak. 你將第一個發(fā)言。

He is always the first (guest) to arrive and the last to leave. 他總是第一個到最后一個離開（的客人）。

You’d be the first to be sorry if anything was to happen to him. 如果他發(fā)生什么事，你會第一個感到難受。

搭配二：用于“It’s the first time+that 從句”這類句型，此類句型的從句謂語一般要用現(xiàn)在完成時（若將主句的 it is 改為 it was, 則從句謂語通常用過去完成時）。如：

This is the first time I have heard of it. 這是我第一次聽到有這事。

It’s the second time this has happened. 是第二次發(fā)生這樣的事了。

That’s the third time he’s phoned her this evening. 這是今晚他第3次給她打電話了。

有時也可不用完成時而用其他時態(tài)，但較少見，學(xué)生宜慎用。
