英語比等級的常見修飾語

一、比較級的常見修飾語

比較級的常見修飾語有far, even, still, many, more, a lot, lots, a great deal, a bit, a little, slightly, rather, three times, any, no, very much 等。如：

Today is even colder than yesterday. 今天比昨天更冷。

Einstein once said, “Politics is much more difficult than physics.” 愛因斯坦曾說，“政治比物理更難�！�

The sick man seems still worse today than yesterday. 那個病人的情況今天似乎比昨天更糟。

二、最高級的常見修飾語

最高級的常見修飾語有 (by) far, much, nearly, almost, not quite, by no means, very, second, next 等。如：

This is much the most difficult. 這是最最難的。

He is by far the tallest among us. 他是我們當中最高的。

It is China’s third largest city. 它是中國的第大三城市。

I want to give my children the very best education I can afford. 我想給我孩子力所能及的最良好的教育。

注：(1) very, second, third 等通常不用于修飾比較級，但可用于修飾最高級，且要放在最高級前的定冠詞之后，而不是之前。

(2) by far 與最高級連用時，通�？煞旁谧罡呒壷�前或之后；而與比較級連用時卻通常要放在比較級之后，若放在比較級前，則比較級通常應帶有冠詞。如：

He is by far the tallest among us. 他是我們當中最高的。

She is the best teacher by far. 她是最最好的老師。

He is by far the cleverer than her. 他比她要聰明得多。
