不定式否定式的構(gòu)成與用法

不定式的否定式通常是將否定詞not或never置于不定式之前，即構(gòu)成not to do 或never to do 的形式，注意not和never一定要放在不定式符號to的前面，而不是其后面。如：

Be careful not to fall. 當(dāng)心別掉下來。

Go in quietly so as not to wake the baby. 悄悄走進(jìn)去，以免把寶寶吵醒。

The driver was not to blame for the traffic accident. 那次交通事故不應(yīng)該責(zé)怪司機(jī)。

注：若不定式為完成式和被動式，否定詞應(yīng)置于整個(gè)結(jié)構(gòu)之前。如：

How foolish I was not to have bought it! 我沒買下它真是太傻!

The humor of it is not to be absorbed in a hurry. 其中的幽默不是一下子能領(lǐng)會的。
