動詞help后的不定式符號 to 的省略問題

當動詞help后接不定式用作賓語或賓語補足語時，該不定式既可以帶to，也可以不帶to，即可以用于help (to) do sth或help sb (to) do sth。如：

I helped (to) wash the car. 我幫忙洗車。

He helped (to) do the work. 他幫助做這工作。

We helped her (to) find her things. 我們幫她找到了她的東西。

I helped him (to) repair his bike. 我幫他修自行車。

但是，如果help用于被動語態，則其后的不定式必須帶to。如：

The boy was helped by a woman to collect his scattered coins. 那男孩由一個婦女幫他撿拾散落一地的錢幣。

另外，當不定式為否定式時，其中的to通常不宜省略。如：

How can I help my children not to worry about their exams? 我怎樣才能幫助我的孩子們不為他們的考試著急呢?

注：在美國英語中help之后的不定式多不帶to。在英國英語中help之后的不定式不帶to時往往有幫助者參加不定式所表動作的含義，帶to時則無此含義。比較：

He helped her lift the box. 他幫她抬那箱子。(“他”參加了不定式lift所表的動作)

He helped her to mount the bicycle. 他扶她上了自行車。(“他”不參加不定式to mount所表的動作)
