“動(dòng)詞+介詞+it+that從句”類句式歸納

按英語(yǔ)習(xí)慣，介詞后通常不能直接跟that從句作賓語(yǔ)，但有個(gè)別特殊結(jié)構(gòu)就在介詞后先接it作形式賓語(yǔ)，再跟that從句，如look to it that, see to it that, depend upon it that, rely on it that, answer for it that等。

1. look to it that

Look to it that you do not fall. 注意別摔倒了。

Look to it that this doesn’t happen again. 注意不要讓這事再發(fā)生。

2. see to it that

See to it that you are not late again. 注意別再遲到了。

Please see to it that the door is locked. 請(qǐng)留意一下把門(mén)鎖好。

I’ll see to it that everything is ready in time. 我負(fù)責(zé)使這一切按時(shí)準(zhǔn)備好。

I should have seen to it that she was told. 我本該注意到已經(jīng)有人告訴她了。

Can you see to it that the fax goes this afternoon? 你保證今天下午就把傳真發(fā)出去，行嗎？

Robert has seen to it that all the little leaks were shut off. 羅伯特已負(fù)責(zé)讓所有的小漏洞都堵上。

3. depend upon it that

You may depend on it that they will support you. 你相信好了，他們會(huì)支持你的。

You may depend upon it that we shall never lose heart. 你放心我們絕不會(huì)灰心。

4. rely on it that

You may rely on it that he will come to meet you. 你放心，他會(huì)來(lái)接你的。

You can rely on it that I will keep your secret. 你盡管相信，我一定會(huì)為你保密。

5. insist on it that

He insisted on it that I (should) go with him. 他堅(jiān)持要我同他一起去。

He insisted on it that we (should) accept these gifts. 他一定要我們收下這些禮物。

6. answer for it that

I can’t answer for it that he is honest. 我不能保證他是誠(chéng)實(shí)的。

注：以下句子也屬類似用法：

You have my word for it that the goods will arrive on time. 我向你保證貨物一定準(zhǔn)時(shí)到達(dá)。

Can I take your word for it that the text has all been checked? 你是說(shuō)正文已全部檢查過(guò)了嗎？

We only have his word for it that the cheque is in the post. 他只是向我們保證支票在郵寄之中。
