meeting的用法及相關搭配（at the meeting與in the meeting）

1. 表示“會議”“集會”，是可數名詞；表示“在會上”，通常與介詞at搭配。如：

They made jokes at what he said at the meeting. 他們拿他在會上講的話開玩笑。

I can take your place at the meeting tomorrow if necessary. 如果必要的話明天我可以代替你去開會。

有時也用介詞 in。如：

Prepare what you plan to say in the meeting ahead of time. 提前準備好你在會上打算說些什么。

Tim really annoyed me in the meeting this morning. 在今天上午的會議上，蒂姆著實惹惱了我。

2. 一般不用來表示“晚會”，此時可用party。如：

We enjoyed ourselves at the party. 在晚會上我們很開心。

有時也用evening表示“晚會”，但其前通常會有一個描繪性定語。如：

A theatre evening has been arranged. 已安排好一個戲劇晚會。

Will you come to our musical evening on Thursday? 你愿意參加我們星期四的音樂晚會嗎?
