英語常見表示地點的介詞

一、in, outside, between, among

(A) in在……里面

She put her book in the desk. 她把書放進(jìn)了書桌。

(B) outside在……外面

What did you see outside the hall? 你在大廳外看見了什么？

(C) between在……之間（指二者）

The building stands between the park and the small river. 那棟建筑位于公園和小河之間�！　�

(D) among在……之間（指多者）

“There is a thief among you. ” the policeman shouted to the crowd. 警察向人群喊道：“你們中間有個小偷！”

注意：among后往往接籠統(tǒng)的人和事物，若需接具體的人或數(shù)目時，即使是指多者，也用between，此時一般有and連接，可理解為多者中任何兩者之間。如：

Switzerland lies between France, Germany, Austria and Italy.  瑞士位于法國、德國、奧地利和意大利之間。

二、on, above, over, below, under 

(A) on表示“在……上面”，表面相互接觸。如：

There is a book on the desk. 桌上有本書。

(B) above表示“在……上方，位置高出……”，與below相對。如：

The Turners live above us.  特納一家人住在我們的上面。

(C) over表示“在……正上方”，與under相對。

The picture is hanging over the blackboard.  那張圖掛在黑板的正上方。

(D) below表示“在……下方，低于……”。如：

Her skirt reaches just below her knees. 她的裙子剛到膝蓋下。

(E) under表示“在……正下方”。如：

They sat under a big tree, drinking. 他們坐在一棵大樹下喝酒。

三、near, by, beside

(A) near表示“在……附近”。如：

My home is near the school. 我家離學(xué)校很近。

(B) ) by = beside, 表示“靠近，在……旁邊”，比near距離更近。如：　

He just sat by/ beside me in the cinema. 在電影院他就坐在我旁邊。
