一、both…and…的用法

both…and…的意思是“不僅……而且”“既……又”，用于連接兩個(gè)性質(zhì)相同的詞或短語(yǔ)。如：

She both speaks and writes Swahili. 她不僅會(huì)說(shuō)斯瓦西里語(yǔ)，而且還會(huì)寫(xiě)。

Tonight they will both sing and dance. 今晚他們將又唱歌又跳舞。

We visited both New York and London. 我們不但訪問(wèn)了紐約，還訪問(wèn)了倫敦。

The situation both at home and abroad is in our favour. 國(guó)內(nèi)外形勢(shì)對(duì)我們都有利。

The meeting concerns both foreign and domestic policies. 會(huì)議關(guān)系到國(guó)內(nèi)外政策。

There are teas both with and without caffeine. 有帶和不帶咖啡因的兩種茶。

二、neither…nor…的用法

neither…nor…主要用于否定兩者，其意為“既不……也……”，用于連接兩個(gè)性質(zhì)相同的詞或短語(yǔ)。如：

It was neither cold nor wet. 天氣既不冷也不潮濕。

He neither drinks nor smokes. 他既不喝酒，也不抽煙。

I want neither fame nor wealth. 不著我既不求名也不求利。

He neither speaks French, nor understands it. 他既不會(huì)講法語(yǔ)，也聽(tīng)不懂法語(yǔ)。

He gave neither name nor address. 他既沒(méi)有留下姓名，也沒(méi)有留下地址。

用于連接兩個(gè)成分作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞通常與靠近的那個(gè)主語(yǔ)保持一致。如：

Neither you nor he is to blame. 既不要你負(fù)責(zé)也不要他負(fù)責(zé)。

Neither he nor you are to blame. 既不要他負(fù)責(zé)也不要你負(fù)責(zé)。
