2. 從句由until引導

Stir the mixture until it looks creamy. 將混合料攪拌至乳脂狀。

Continue until you reach the end of the road. 繼續走，一直走到路的盡頭。

Please remain seated until your name is called. 點到名字之前請不要站起來。

3. 從句由when引導

Press the buzzer when you want to talk. 你想講話的時候就按蜂鳴器。

Do not open the door when the train is in motion. 列車行駛時不要打開車門。

Wipe your feet when you come in from the street. 從街上回來進門時要在擦鞋墊上蹭蹭腳。

有時when后接的不是句子，而是動詞的-ing形式。如：

Avoid bending at the waist when lifting heavy objects. 舉重物時不要彎腰。

Be extra careful when walking along country roads. 在鄉間小路上散步要格外小心。

二、用and或or 連接的并列句，其中至少有一句為祈使句

Keep to the path or you may get lost. 沿著小路走，否則可能會迷路。

Do what he wants, or you will upset him. 按他的要求做，否則你會惹他不高興。

Call me next week and we’ll try and make a date. 下周打電話給我，我們爭取定個時間見個面。

Follow these few simple rules, and you won’t go far wrong. 遵守這些簡單的規則，你就不會出什么大錯。

三、用破折號連接的句子，其中至少有一句為祈使句

Don’t just stand there—do something. 別光站在那兒，做點什么。

Sit down—you’re making me nervous! 坐下吧——你站著讓我很緊張！

Take a safety tip from me—get that light mended! 聽我一句安全建議吧——找人修修那盞燈！

Slow down—there are speed traps along this stretch of road. 開車慢一點，這段路有好幾處車速監視區。
