shall的用法

■在陳述句中表示說話者給對方的承諾、決心、警告、威脅等。如：

I shall write to you again at the end of the month. 月底我再給你寫封信。

You shall have it back next week. 下星期一定還你。

He shall stay in bed. 他必須躺在床上。

■表示強制，用于法令、條約、規章中，意為“必須，應該”。如：

Candidates shall remain in their seats until all the papers have been collected. 試卷完全收回后，應試人才能離開座位。

■在主語是第一、三人稱的疑問句中征求對方意見：要不要……？……好嗎？如：

Shall I turn on the lights? 我開燈好嗎?

Shall he wait for you outside? 要不要他在外面等你?

■表示不可避免的某事：一定

That day shall come. 那一天總會來的。
