同學們還記得《〈第二課堂〉一篇文章碰中7道高考題》那篇文章嗎？還記得本刊一年前曾連載七期的《對不起，高考題，我與你太相像了》嗎？本刊所發表文章中又有N道題與2013年的高考英語題不是相像，而是“一模一樣”！不信？請看下面的實例——事實勝于雄辯！本刊一篇2010年發表的文章，竟然與2013年高考英語天津卷的一道考題完全一樣，這不僅僅是“巧合”吧，要不然，你從其他刊物上也找找，看看有沒有這么巧的“巧合”？

■高考真題

答案為A。若將答案填入句中，則為：

1. could后接一般式表推測

A faulty connection could easily cause a fire. 接錯線路容易引發火災。

This new drug could be an important step in the fight against cancer. 這種新藥有可能是抵抗癌癥的一個重要步驟。

Though he had a temper and could be nasty, it never lasted. 雖然他有脾氣，有時還很兇，但從來不會持續太久。

2. could后接完成式表推測

Be careful with that stick — it could have gone in my eye! 注意那根棍子，差點戳到我的眼睛了。

I waited ages for you — you could have said that you weren’t coming! 我等了你好久，你應該告訴我一聲你不來了！

注意用于虛擬語氣的用法。如：

I could have warned you if I had known where you were. 我要是知道你在哪里的話我就會提醒你了。
