考點12  將語法知識與生活常識結合考查

有的的名詞考題在考查有關語法知識的同時，還兼顧考查考生的生活常識。

【考例】I like________ a lot, and my mother usually cooks it in different ways.

A. fish                   B. butter                 C. potatoes           D. noodles

【分析】A。根據句中的cooks it可知，填空處只能填單數名詞，不能填復數名詞，故可排除C和D；又因為butter不能被“煮”(cook)，故可排除B。

還有些名詞考題與語法知識相關性不大，而是純粹地考查考生的生活常識。

【考例】—It’s said that you have moved into a new house.

—Yeah, and we need to buy some ________ in the mall nearby.

A. food                  B. furniture           C. hamburger��

【分析】B。根據常識可知，“搬了新房子”應該是“購買新家具”，不應該是“購買食物”“購買漢堡”之類的。
