1. 該書第31頁上有這樣一句：

We’ve decide to put off the meeting.

句中的 decide 顯然為 decided 之誤，因為這里用的是現(xiàn)在完成時。

2. 該書第39頁上有這樣一句：

He grow discouraged.

句中的 grow 顯然應為 grows 或 grew，因為句子主語為第三人稱單數(shù)。

3. 該書第83頁上有這樣一句：

We’re going to a football match in Saturday.

句中的介詞 in 似應改為 on，因為這是指在某一天。

4. 該書第126頁上有這樣一句：

We must got something done.

句中的動詞 got 顯然應改為 get，因為是用在情態(tài)動詞 must 之后。

5. 該書第127頁上有這樣一句：

I didn’t expected the book to be so well received.

句中的過去式 expected 顯然應改為原形 expect，因為前面已有了 didn’t。

6. 該書第127頁上有這樣一句：

It she were to lose her place they would be ruined.

句首的 It 顯然為 If 之誤。

7. 該書第163頁上有這樣一句：

Do you often have cold?

句中的 cold 似應改為 a cold，因為按英語習慣，have a cold 中的不定冠詞通常不宜省略；但是，cold 若搭配動詞 catch，則可說成 catch (a) cold，即其中的不定冠詞可以省略。當然，就本句而言，若改用 have colds 也是可以的。

8. 該書第167頁上有這樣一句：

I meant to reason with you, but you won’t reason.

句中的 won’t 似應改為 wouldn’t，因為前半句用的是一般過去時。

9. 該書第205頁上有這樣一句：

I don’t know who ask advice from.

句中的 who ask 似應改為 who to ask，屬于“連接代詞+不定式”作賓語的用法。

10. 該書第223頁上有這樣一句：

The batteries in the radio needs changing.

句中的 needs 顯然應改為 need，因為句子主語是 the batteries，而不是 the radio。介詞短語 in the radio 在此是用作定語，修飾主語 the batteries。
