副詞apart的用法說(shuō)明

1. 基本用法

apart 表示“分開(kāi)”、“相距”、“離開(kāi)”等，可以用于時(shí)間(time)、距離(distance)、關(guān)系(relation)、狀況(condition)等；另外從所表示的狀態(tài)來(lái)看，它既可表示靜態(tài)的“相距”或“相隔”；也可表示動(dòng)態(tài)的“分開(kāi)”或“離開(kāi)”等：

The two villages are about two kilometers apart. 這兩個(gè)村莊相距約兩公里。

Their views are wide apart. 他們的看法相去甚遠(yuǎn)。

During that time we were never apart. 在那段時(shí)間里人我們從不分離。

I can’t get the two things apart. 我不能把這兩樣?xùn)|西分開(kāi)。

He and his wife are living apart. 他與妻子沒(méi)有住在一起。

She keeps herself apart from other people. 她與別人保持距離。

2. 易錯(cuò)說(shuō)明

表示具體的時(shí)間或距離時(shí)，應(yīng)置于其后，而不應(yīng)像漢語(yǔ)那樣置于其前：

這兩座房子相距200米。

正：The two houses are 200 metres apart.

誤：The two houses are apart 200 metres.

我們倆的生日剛好相差一個(gè)月。

正：Our birthdays are exactly a month apart.

誤：Our birthdays are exactly apart a month.

3. 用于提問(wèn)

詢問(wèn)相隔多遠(yuǎn)時(shí)，要用 How far apart...?

你們的住處相距多遠(yuǎn)?

正：How far apart do you live?

誤：How apart do you live?

4. 關(guān)于apart from

用于短語(yǔ) apart from(在美國(guó)英語(yǔ)中通常用 aside from)：

①表示“除...外還有”(=besides)：

Apart from the cost, it will take a lot of time. 除了花費(fèi)外，它還需要不少時(shí)間。

Apart from being too large, the hat doesn’t suit me. 除了太大外，這頂帽子我戴也不合適。

②表示“若沒(méi)有”、“除...外”(=except for)：

The article is good apart from a few spelling mistakes. 除了有幾個(gè)拼寫錯(cuò)誤外，這篇文章寫得挺好的。

Apart from that, all goes well. 除了那事外，其它一切進(jìn)展順利。

正：Apart from his nose, he’s quite good-looking.
