either用于否定句的兩點(diǎn)說(shuō)明

一、用作副詞，表示“也”

此時(shí)either只用于否定句，不能用于肯定句或疑問(wèn)句。如：

We don’t mind it either.  我們也不在乎它。

He didn’t go and she didn’t go either. 他沒(méi)去，她也沒(méi)去。

She can’t explain it and I can’t either. 她不能解釋，我也不能解釋。

He didn’t like the book; I didn’t either. 他不喜歡這本書(shū)，我也不喜歡。

Bill didn’t come to the party, and Jack didn’t either. 比爾沒(méi)來(lái)參加宴會(huì)，杰克也沒(méi)來(lái)。

二、用作代詞，表示“兩者中的任意一個(gè)”

You may take either of the roads. 兩條路你走哪一條都行。

I don’t agree with either of you. 你們兩人的意見(jiàn)我都不同意。

Here are two dictionaries；you may take either. 這里有兩本詞典，你拿哪一本都可以。

但是，這樣用的either不能用作否定句的主語(yǔ)，遇此情況應(yīng)改用neither。如：

兩者中哪個(gè)對(duì)我都合適(from www.hz123456.com)。

誤：Either one does not suit me.

正：Neither one suits me.

不過(guò)，雖然either不能作否定句的主語(yǔ)，但它可作肯定句或疑問(wèn)句的主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)。如：

Either (of these) would do. 這兩個(gè)中任一個(gè)都可以。

Would you like either of these? 你喜歡二者中的任一個(gè)嗎?
