4. 當(dāng)這些詞后面的名詞有了 the, these, those等特指限定詞修飾時(shí)，或其后的接的是 us, them 這樣的人稱代詞時(shí)，則此時(shí)必須用介詞 of。如：

three scores of these eggs 這些雞蛋中的三打

five hundred of the workers 這些工人中的五百人

The eggs are sold by the dozen. 雞蛋按打出售。

The ants arrived at the picnic by the hundred(s). 成群的螞蟻來到野餐的地方。

比較：Pack them in dozens. 把它們成打地包起來(即每12個(gè)一包)。
