■一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)的基本用法

一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)主要表示經(jīng)常性或習(xí)慣性的動(dòng)作、說(shuō)話時(shí)某人或某物的特征或狀態(tài)，以及客觀真理。常與always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, every day等時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)連用。如：

I often work at night. 我經(jīng)常在夜間工作。

Liquid turns into gas when it is hot enough. 足夠熱時(shí)，液體變?yōu)闅怏w。

However cold it is, she always goes swimming. 不管天多冷，她總是去游泳。

■一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)的特殊用法

當(dāng)時(shí)間、條件、方式及讓步狀語(yǔ)從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞表示將來(lái)的動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)時(shí)，習(xí)慣上要用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)表示。如：

If you come, we will wait for you. 如果你來(lái)，我們就等你。

When he gets here, the work will be finished. 當(dāng)他到這兒時(shí)，工作將做完了。

Though he disagrees with us, he will do as we decided. 盡管他不贊成我們當(dāng)觀點(diǎn)，他還是會(huì)按我們的決定去做。

另外，在make sure(弄清楚)，make certain(弄清楚)，take care(注意，當(dāng)心)，be careful(注意，當(dāng)心)，mind(注意)，watch(注意)等后的that從句中通常也只用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)表示將來(lái)意義。如：

Make sure you come back soon. 你要保證快點(diǎn)回來(lái)。

We must take care that no one sees us. 我們必須注意別讓人看見(jiàn)我們。

Be careful that you don’t hurt her feelings. 當(dāng)心別傷了她的感情。

Watch that the baby doesn’t go near the heater. 注意別讓寶寶接近加熱器。

Mind you read the examination questions carefully before you begin to answer them. 在答題前要注意仔細(xì)閱讀考題。

還有，在it doesn’t matter, I don’t care, I don’t mind 等結(jié)構(gòu)(以及類似結(jié)構(gòu))后的名詞性從句也通常用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)表示將來(lái)意義。如：

It doesn’t matter where we go on holiday. 我們?nèi)ツ膬憾燃俣夹小?/SPAN>

I don’t care whether we win or lose. 我不在乎我們是贏還是輸。
