■該書第67頁上有這樣一句：

This concerns everyone of us. 這關系到我們每個人。

■我們認為，其中的 everyone  應分開寫成 every one，因為按英語習慣，復合不定代詞everyone 后面不能接表示整體與部分關系的 of  短語。如著名語言學家 L. G. 亞歷山大在其《英語詞匯用法手冊》(Right Word Wrong Word)就指出下面這個句子中的Every one不能合寫成Everyone：

Every one of their children did well at school. 他們的每個孩子在學校都學習很不錯。(不能用 Everyone of…)
