介詞on與off(表距離)的區(qū)別

介詞 on 和 off 均可表示“在……旁邊”，它們之間有區(qū)別嗎？

《劍橋國際英語詞典》對 on 和 off 的解釋是這樣的：on 表示 next to or along the side of，其意為“在……旁邊”“挨著……”“沿著……的邊上”；off 表示 near to，其意為“離……不遠(yuǎn)”。所以，從距離上看，on 表示的距離(next to)要比 off 表示的距離(near to)近一些。請體會(所有例句均摘自權(quán)威詞典)：
