■as unsinkable 是主補(bǔ)，但不是表語。
■按照一般語法著作的表述，“表語”主要指用于系動(dòng)詞后面用以補(bǔ)充說明主語的成分。
He is a Vietnamese. 他是越南人。
She looks rich. 她看上去很有錢。
I feel unhappy. 我不高興。
“主補(bǔ)”的概念則要廣泛一些，雖然有的語法書把“表語”也叫做“主補(bǔ)”（因?yàn)樗拇_是用于補(bǔ)充說明主語的），但更多的傳統(tǒng)語法是將兩者分開使用的。“主補(bǔ)”的主要類型有以下幾種：
A.“主+謂+主補(bǔ)”型。如：
The door blew open. 門被吹開了。
This material has worn thin. 這種布料已穿薄了。
B.“主+謂+主補(bǔ)”型。如：
He died young. 他死時(shí)很年輕。
He came home sick. 他帶病回家。
Maggie gaped round-eyed. 瑪吉目瞪口呆。
C.“主+謂+賓+主補(bǔ)”型。如：
He got off the bench very nervous. 他不安地從長(zhǎng)凳上下來。
She gazed at him speechless for a moment. 她無言凝視了他一會(huì)兒。
D. “主+被動(dòng)謂語+主補(bǔ)”型。如：
He is considered a good officer. 他被認(rèn)為是個(gè)好官員。
The man was found lying on the floor. 那人被發(fā)現(xiàn)躺在地上。
