■你舉的例句中的 for 基本上可套用此用法進行解釋。至于能否用其他介詞代替，個人的看法如下，供你參考：　　

1.The appointment is for 10:00.（不宜用其他介詞）　　

2. We have visited our guests for 7:00.（同意你的看法，不能用介詞at，因為若用at，則句子不宜用現在完成時，而應用一般過去時或一般將來時）　　

3. We have booked our holiday for the second week in July.（用介詞 for 其實還與動詞book的搭配有關）　　

4. The next meeting was the tenth of May.（用介詞 for 其實還與動詞arrange的搭配有關） 　　

個人認為，I have got a dental appointment at 3 o’clock. 這個其實不是現在完成時，而是一般現在時，其中的have got 屬口語表達，相當于于 have。
