She is too young to look after herself . The problem is too difficult to understand.老師，這兩個句式結構一樣，為什么第一句的不定式后有代詞作賓語？第二句的不定式后面卻沒有賓語it?也就是說第一句的herself 為什么不能像第二句那樣去掉？謝謝老師。

She is too young to look after herself. 一句中的 herself 不用的話，語法上沒錯，但意思就大變了。比較：
She is too young to look after. 她太小，不能被照看。（此話不太合情理吧）
She is too young to look after herself. 她太小，不能自己照顧自己。
又如：
He is too proud to please. 他太驕傲，無法被人討好。（或：他太驕傲，你無法討好好。）
