■surprised look與surprising look 區別：前者指帶有look（樣子）的這個人自身很surprised（吃驚），可譯為“吃驚的樣子”；后者指帶有look（樣子）的人并不surprised（吃驚），而是這種look（樣子）會讓看到這種look的人會surprised（吃驚），可譯為“令人吃驚的樣子”。　　

■I heard a woman ____,"What is wrong with this family...." 答案只能是A。不能選B或C，后面的內容是直接引語，不能理解為賓語從句；若將其視為賓語從句，應改為：I heard a woman say what was wrong with this family....　　

一般說來，表示從過去到現在的時間，英語要用since…來連用現在完成時，至于from last year to these days是否連用現在完成時，個人認為是可以的：　　

He has been ill from last year to these days. 他從去年到最近一直在生病。　　

如果不是表示從過去到現在的時間，則from…to…結構則完全視具體語義的需要來選用時態，如《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》第四版就有這樣一句：　　

The meeting has been brought forward from 10 May to 3 May. 會議已由5月10日提前到5月3日召開。
