說All of us except Jim have gone to Beijing.不是語法不對，而是意思不妥。但如果將其中的us改為them，則意思上就沒有問題了，即完全可以說：All of them except Jim have gone to Beijing.（你可以仔細體會一下兩者在意義的差別）　　

但說I haven't gone to the USA. 是可能的（雖然不算普通），因為它是否定句。請看下面的對話：　　

A：Where are you now? Have you gone to the 　　USA　　.　　

B：No, I haven’t. I will leave for the 　　USA　　 next week. Now I’m at my sister’s.　　

上面一句中的 I haven’t 就是I haven't gone to the USA.的省略形式。
